San Diego

We did it!!  We took all 4 kids to San Diego.  My poor parents were so exhausted by the end of every day.  My kids are sort of exhausting.  Not that their naughty, I just have a lot of little kids.   We had so much fun.   Everyone thought we were crazy in going.  My sisters begged my up until the day we left to leave the babies.  Even my pediatrician tried to talk me out of it.  I figure our life is never going to be easy so why sit around waiting.  I want memories with my kids.
It was freezing.  Who ever said California is warm is crazy.  The last two times we have been we have frozen.  But, still way fun.  We almost had to cancel, both babies got RSV 3 days before we left.  Luckily it was a very mild case and they bounced back pretty quick.
This ended up in a melt down from Josh.  The trainer gave Taylor a fish to feed the dolphin and every one else around us and not Josh.  They use to let you buy fish to feed them but they dont anymore.  We had been telling Josh he could feed them all along.  He fed the Sea Lions instead.
 They LOVED finding "sea creatures"

I tried really hard to not let them get swept away by the waves but I failed.  They both ended up soaked to the bone.  They didnt mind though.  They just kept playing

We went to the beach (yes, my boys loved it even in the chilliness), Sea World, and the Zoo.  The drive was a bit long but the babies were AMAZING in the car.  Pretty sure they did better than me.
We had a way fun trip and I was soooo not ready to come home to the daily grind of life.  It was so fun to be doing something different and spending time as a family.  We are already planning our next trip!!  Disneyland here we come!!
Side note: I predicted that the orientals would take pictures of our family.  Yes they did.  Its quite unnerving to have people take a picture of your kids while your walking around Sea World.  Makes you wonder when they get home what they will do with the random pic of a random family.

Randomness

After 3 very long months of straight sick kids (really its been 3 months), Im happy to say were mostly healthy (Taylor just got another cold two days ago).  The babies have had 3-4 ear infections a piece and the each have had RSV twice.  Brayden is still having his oxygen levels monitored when he sleeps because he was so bad and is still having issues keeping his levels up sleeping.  Its been a crazy few months and very stressful.  Hopefully we are through the worst and we can stay healthy for a bit.
We are doing great if we can just stay healthy.  Having four kids is wonderful.  There are still days when I look at all 4 of them together and it looks like a ton of kids to me.  We are a huge spectatacle every time we go in public.  I am getting a small sense of what celebrities go through when they go in public.  EVERYONE stops us, asks us tons a questions, tell me there glad its me not them, and want to pull the car seat covers off to see the babies.  Their babies people, just because theres two of them, they still look like babies. We live in Utah, theres 5 babies every way you turn. And they ask me 2-3 times just to make sure they heard right that I have 2 sets of twins.  Its annoying, I know were rare, but Im am starting to not be nice.  I just keep walking or I try my hardest to pretend I dont hear them and walk faster.  I know it sounds bad but, really I get so sick of it.  The worst part of it is Josh and Taylor are always asking me, "Mom, why does everyone say its so bad to have twins, and they dont want them?"  Try explaining that to a 4 year old.
Lonnie is doing great.  He has somehow stayed healthy through all of this.  The rest of us have passed it to each othere 2-3 times each but he stays healthy.  What a blessing.  He just got a unreal job offer that we are so excited for.  I am so proud of him.  He officially starts the first of April.
Here are a few pics of the past little bit.  Weve been stuck in the house a lot so we dont have to many photo ops.  Enjoy!!
Sorry couldnt figure out how to rotate this one

Brayden- getting his breathing treatment. I couldnt believe how much time it took out of my day doing 2 babies breathing treatments every 3-4 hours

Our little outing to Orange Leaf (they have Diary free ice cream).  Its so fun to be able to take my boys to get ice cream.  Weve never been able to, because they cant have dairy, until this plays opened.  They love it.

Crazy but Wonderful

Thought I would post a few Pics of my darling baby boys.  Life is so so crazy.  I never could have imagine how crazy life could be.  But, at the same time we are so amazed that our Heavenly father Has entrusted us with these 4 perfect wonderful children.  Josh and Taylor are doing amazing with the babies.  Taylor is especially fond of his little babies.   Josh is the little helper and is ALWAYS asking what else he can do to help me or the babies.  They both get so upset if they ever arent with us.  I was so worried how it would be with Josh and Taylor when the babies got here.  But, watching them with their baby brothers just makes me more and more in love with them every day.  I am so so proud of the boys they are becoming.  The are such good little boys.
The past two months the babies have had RSV and 4 ear infections.  Its been real fun around here and lots of screaming can be heard coming from our house.   The babies will most likely have tubes by at least 6 months.  The doctors are hoping they can hold off on them until then.   For now they are just on antibiotics and have been for over 3 weeks.
Nothing much is new around here.  We pretty much just survive every day.  But, the good thing is, we are surviving and thats all that matters.
Brayden

Daxton- The other night lonnie was laying next to him in bed and Daxton latched onto his nose.  Lonnie did not appreciate me taking the photo opportunity but I told him it was a funny pic and to deal with it.

Daxton-  I love his two huge dimples

Daxton- He is smaller than Brayden by just a little bit but hes quite a bit shorter.  So, he looks a lot more chunky.  Hes all cheeks, just like Josh and Taylor were

Brayden-  He is our more quite one.  He definately cries loud but seems more calm than Daxton

Introducing Baby Daxton and Brayden

Daxton and Brayden arrived two weeks ago.  They are doing well and we are loving having two sweet spirits in our home.  I dont sleep much but I really didnt sleep at all when they were inside me. Daxton weighed 7.5 and Brayden weighed 6.15.   Josh and Taylor are doing amazing with them.  Almost a little too good.  They will never leave there side and are constantly in their faces.  Were not complaining though, we expected the exact opposite.

Totally crazy first family picture.  Cant believe I have 4 children!!

Fall Festivities

We have been trying to get all the activities in that we can before the babies get here and were home bound.  The last couple of weeks we have been to Gardner Village to see and the witch displays and to the Pumkin Patch.  We've had a lot of fun.  And, yes, as you can tell im getting huge.  I hate to go in public anymore because people have NO problem telling me how huge I am.  I really cant believe some of the things people say. This old man told me the other day that it looked like I swallowed a giant basketball.  Oh well, I guess he's right.  4 more weeks until baby Brayden and Baby Daxton are scheduled to arrive!!

Summer Update

Here are a few pics from our summer travels.  Sorry they are kind of out of order.  We are done traveling for the summer and are anxiously awaitng the arrival of our two new little ones in just 8 WEEKS.  The boys are getting excited to have to new brothers but, I think they know theyre going to be a lot of work as well.  The other day Josh said to me "mom I wish you only had one baby in your tummy"  I asked him why and he replied "Because two babies are a lot of work"  Cant really argue with that.  We are excited for our new additions but scared to death at the same time.  4 kids by itself is scary, let alone 4 kids 3 and under (only for 2 months but still just as scary).  We are just taking it one day at a time and trying to spend as much quality time with our boys as possible before we are crazy busy with two new babies.  Enjoy the pics.  I can pretty much guarantee that with my blogging history this will be the last post until the babies come.

We spent a week in Yellowstone with my Family.
Park City- We spend 4 days up there with my sister and her family
Yellowstone- Incase you were wondering, yes it was definately a challenge standing up from that position with my big belly.

The Tram ride in Park city.  My boys look forward to this ride all year.  They LOVE it.

Park City- My boys are getting to be quite the swimmers.  If we could just keep Josh's ears from getting massive infections every time he went in the pool (ear plugs dont seem to help)
Josh getting ready for his "dive"

Random Pic of Taylor.  He always very carefully alligns his animals on the top of his bed to go to sleep.
We let the boys pick out a souvenir from Yellowstone, surprise, they pick this.  They love them.  They always are asking Lonnie to go outside with them to shoot their sling shots

Random little store in Yellowstone.  The boys wanted these cowboy hats so bad.  To bad they were $50 a piece.  Sorry boys

Miniture Golfing in Yellowstone- This was the boys first experience with mini golf.  They absolutely loved it.

We have had a great summer and are just nestling in for the fall waiting.  Babies are doing well and growing a little to well.  Most twins are usually in the 20-30%.  Dont worry that mine are in the 69%.  Yesterday my doctor said to me "congratulations you are now measuring the same size that a singleton mom does when shes ready to deliver"  Pretty excited about that, since I still have 8 weeks left.  Which seems like a long time for my belly to grow but not so long when I think of it in terms of having 4 kids.   Wish us luck!!
